George IV as Prince of Wales 1762–1830.

King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland on 29 January 1820. George IV. has remained the posterity partly due to his extravagant and flamboyant lifestyle of the dysfunctional relationship with his father and his failed marriage with his cousin Caroline of Brunswick in memory. Because of its waste-and gambling addiction, his affairs and his corpulence was George IV., a favorite target of the British press and the cartoonists. The Regency Era is closely associated with George IV. The beginning of this period-ending to 1834 is generally to the entrance of the then Prince of Wales dates back in his seat Carlton House.
