Female from Santísima Trinidad de Huancayo, Peru.

Traditional Latin American folk dress. Peru female costume

Santísima Trinidad de Huancayo female from Peru.

Female from Santísima Trinidad de Huancayo, Peru.

The people of Huancayo, in gorgeous rented costumes such as this, annually celebrate the fiesta of their city´s patron saint. Peruvian Indians love fiestas, and many of the traditional costumes worn on such occasions recall the Spanish conquerors costly velvets and rich embroideries of gold or silver thread.
