George Wilkins Kendall (Mont Vernon, 22 August 1809 – Boerne, 21 October 1867) was an American writer and journalist.
In 1837 he founded the New Orleans Picayune newspaper together with Francis A. Lumsden. In 1841 he participated in the Texas expedition to New Mexico to Santa Fe and later fought in the American Secession War and the Mexican-American War.
