Nicolas Willemin Xavier (1763-1833) was a French writer and antiquarian. Born in 1763 in Nancy, he came to Paris in the workshop of the engraver Lagrenée. He showed early a keen interest in antiques and became in 1821 a member of the Society of the antiquarians. His work includes particularly archaeological and historical topics. For further research, he made extensive travel to libraries throughout France.
