English court lady. 14th century. Reign of King Edward III.

The lady wears a long-sleeved, very form-fitting undergarment, the Cotehardie (by the church very much discussed fashion of that time), or Eight-Gore Dress. Furthermore the Surcot, which was fastened with ribbons at the shoulder level.
