Young girl from Madunice, Slovakia
Madunice, German Madunitze is a municipality in western Slovakia, on the banks of the river Váh. Known beyond the borders of the town is also the altar of the church. This consists of the oak under which the poet Ján Hollý to have written his poems.
Ján Hollý (1785-1849) was a Slovak poet who wrote one of the first exclusively in the Slovak language. He was a Catholic priest, a proven patriot and member of the second phase of the Slovak national revival.
